I thought I would make a small correction to Jodi's blog regarding the gold glitter rock from Brandon. Jodi kept telling Brandon that she was giving "Wow" gifts & that he better get her a "Good gift". He was worried as he had combined her gift with Mom & Dad's (gift card to Appleby's). It was my idea to do this gag gift & Jodi's reaction was well worth all the 5 minutes of effort we put into making this gift for her. Because Jodi kept telling Brandon she was giving "Wow" gifts & said she better get a "good gift" from him, we put both sentiments on the card. I took a picture of Jodi with the rock with her camera, so maybe she will post that picture as well. Jodi was a good sport & loved the gift. She said it was now the "Gift to give & receive".
So someday, when you least expect it, one of you may end up with this special rock. If you do, you must pass it on to someone else in the family.
That is how the legend of the gold glitter rock began.

Best Christmas Gift Ever
Today is Christmas!!! Merry Christmas to All!!!! Yesterday we spent the afternoon at Eric's house and exchanged gifts with all of our family except Todd. Everyone received gifts and I got a really neat gift from Brandon. He gave me a gold painted rock covered in gold glitter.
I told him a couple of day's ago that I wanted to get him a WOW gift. He couldn't tell me what he wanted, so he gave me a WOW card and rock. I thought it was really cool. I think this will be the WOW gift every year.
Hope everyone has a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Jodi

Greetings from NorCal
Cuz!
Glad to hear from you, Jody, Aunt Dorothy and hi to Uncle Carlos. All is well here in cold, wet Sacramento. We are getting our house ready for Christmas and happy that Tina is back in NorCal with us after living in Florida for the past 18 months. We are happy she is back on this coast. But we are sad that our Matthew is still stationed in Charleston S.C and is unable to get home for Christmas :( But we are happy to have our three girls and us in our cozy little house :)
Love to all and Merry Christmas

Welcome
Welcome to the new Manning Family Tree blog spot. I made this as a place where we can all come to find out what is going on in each of our lives. As we get older it gets harder & harder to keep in touch with one another. I really miss when we were kids & we would get together and have fun. I miss that connection with each of you.
I want this to be a place where you can post what is going on in your life, or the lives of your children and/or grandchildren. You can even post pictures. Or you can just write down favorite memories of Grandma and Grandpa Manning, or anyone else connected to this family. It doesn't matter how mundane you think your life is or how exciting for that matter, someone in our family wants to know about it.
I've wanted to do this for about a year now, but I am such a procrastinator. So I figured Christmas was the perfect time of year to kick this off. I loved how Melissa and Aunt Marilyn did the recipe book. It brought back lots of great memories. That is what I want this blog to be about, a place to remember great memories & create new memories and reconnect with one another.
I hope that all of you are exited as me to contribute to this blog. It will get boring real quick if I am the only one to contribute. If you have any questions, email me at kasmlc@hotmail.com.
Love to you all & I can't wait to find out what is going on in all your lives.
