Easter tablescape- Take 2 plus a bonus

This week I am actually posting my tablescape early. I usually don't do it until after midnight or even on Thursday morning. So to be posting my tablescape at 6:30pm on Wednesday is unheard of for me. Don't get used to it, it is actually a fluke. Only because I spent all day Sunday playing with different tablescapes (I didn't get anything else accomplished that day). I actually have 2 tablescapes for you today & I have next week's all done too. But you'll have to wait until next week to see that one. But it will be worth the wait. It is my favorite tablescape I've done so far.

Be sure when you are done looking at my tablescape that you visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch to see her tablescape & the long list of all the other participants. This is getting to be a very popular thing, tablescaping. Barb at Grits and Glamour says that the word "tablescape" was added to the Oxford dictionary in 2006. Now if only the spell checker would recognize it as a word.

Last week I did an Easter tablescape using my Bordallo bunny plates. This week I am doing another Easter tablescape. This week I am using my bunny dishes from Home Goods. Again I used my kitchen/family room table for this tablescape.

For my centerpiece this week, I placed one of my Bordallo cabbage dinner plates underneath a porcelain basket I picked up at the thrift store a few weeks back for $2.00. The cabbage plate came from Ross last month & I got it on clearance for $3.49. They only had 3, so I still need one more to use for eating. But 3 works in my china hutch. I wish that I had real tulips to go in the basket, but since I can't afford them, faux will do for now. The 2 white bunnies are thrift store finds as well. I got them last year.

The green place mats are from Target. The silverware is my Marshall's clearance set by unknown maker.
The bunny plates are from Home Goods in February & are made by a company called Mesa. Aren't the bunnies too cute?
The dinner plates by Coventry were on clearance at Ross last month. I paid $1.99 each. But they only had dinner plates & nothing else, but I liked them, so home they came. I even went to 4 other stores to see if I could find salad plates and/or soup bowls, but no luck. I only got 4 dinner plates.

The napkins are from a thrift store as well as the napkin rings. I got 6 napkin rings last week for $1.00. Don't you just love thrift stores? I know I do. And to think that I was too paranoid to go in one until about 13 years ago (when I met my hubby). He is a thrift store junkie. I still can't buy clothes from the thrift store (it's a hand me down problem stemming from childhood), but I don't consider household items as hand me downs, so I have no problem with that. Only clothes. But my hubby buys all his clothes from the thrift store.
Here is the back view of my centerpiece. I guess I could have turned one of the bunnies to be facing the back. But I didn't.
I got this bunny candlestick from a thrift store. I got 2 of them. They were $1.00 each. The little doilies they are sitting on were a recent ebay win. I got a box of 44 vintage napkins, doilies & other vintage linens for $9.99.
Here is a close up of one of the bunnies. Looks like he has a dirty bum. He'll definitely need a bath before Easter.
The pink tablecloth I got on 50% off sale at JoAnn Fabric. It has cut out flowers along the edge. I guess I should have taken a photo. It is a nice touch, but a pain to iron.
I love tulips! Too bad these aren't real. And too bad tulips won't grow in our yard. I think it doesn't get cold enough in southern California. I never see tulips growing here. Daffodils & Paper whites, yes, tulips, no. But you can buy them in the store. Just need some cash.

The Libby goblet is from Walmart. I think they were 4 for $4 or $5. I bought them a few years back to use at Thanksgiving. With tablescaping, I am using them all the time now. I love seeing the bunny through the glass.

And one last final look at the table.
Now for the bonus tablescape. While I was getting out my Easter decorations this past weekend, I found an Easter china set for dolls that I had. So I found my doll table & chairs in the garage attic and set up an Easter tablescape for a couple of stuffed bunnies.

They decided they wanted to eat out by the pool as the weather was fabulous on Sunday. The only thing I could find small enough for a centerpiece was this little silver basket I got at the thrift store for $1.00 and one of my Target bunnies.

I don't remember where I got the Easter doll set or how long I've had it. I've lived in my house for almost 4 years and I haven't gotten out my old Easter decorations in that time until this year.
Bunnies & tulips. A great combo. Just like the centerpiece for this weeks tablescape.
The doily came in my ebay box of vintage linens.
Hope you liked my Easter tablescapes. If you want to see last week's Easter tablescape, click here. Then come back & tell me which Easter tablescape you like better.

Oh, that second one got me--- too cute. It was very mischievous of you to tease us like that about next week's tablescape--I'll be back!

You're a smart shopper, from the finds you have procured and at a fraction of the original costs... you should be teaching a thrift class! Wonderfully done, I adore the tulips in the vase... and all the pretty bunnies! Thanks for sharing! ~Katy

Your tablescape was just lovely but the bonus tablescape was just too sweet. I loved the little plates-everything was just breathtaking. Those bunnies looked so sweet there. Great job!

Bunnies and tulips are a great combination. Love those dishes. I love both the indoor and the outdoor tables. Whenever I have two pieces that have a back =-= I turn one facing one way and one facing the other -- that way only one has his "back" to guests so I don't have any guests that have only a front view or a back view!

Both tables are precious -- isn't it odd how the Home Goods stores (my second home) don't all have the same thing? I see some really cute things, like your bunny plates, that I have never seen in ours.
