Welcome Spring Tablescape
It's play day again. And what is play day? Why of course it's Tablescape Thursday. The day we get to play with all our dishes & accessories to make beautiful tablescapes. This is fast becoming my favorite day of the week. And I am not alone. As you will find out if you go to Between Naps on the Porch. Susan has a fabulous Easter table this week and you will also find links to all the other participants.
Well I didn't do my planning very well. For the past 2 weeks I have posted my Easter tablescapes. I guess I should have saved one of them for this week. Oh well. But we are not having Easter at my house this year. We are going down to San Diego to my parents house. I'm a little bummed as I was looking forward to setting up my Easter tablescapes for family. Maybe next year.
But never fear, I still have a spring tablescape for you. And I am excited about this weeks offering. I feel this is the best one I have put together. I hope that you feel the same.
This week we are back in my living room dining area. All the furniture in this room is Mission style. It was my husband's furniture before we got married. Even though it wouldn't be my first choice (I'm more of a Shabby Chic girl), I have learned to love it.
For my centerpiece I hunted around my house for various items I could use. The pineapple concrete finials (I guess that is what you would call them. I asked my hubby what he would call them & he said "ugly". Men!) came from my backyard. The larger one originally came from Home Goods a few years back. The smaller one came from Marshall's a couple of months ago. The piller candlestick was a thrift store find & a leftover from our wedding. Two of the green balls came from Michael's on clearance & the one in front came from the Dollar Tree. And of course my Target birdie S&P. They have now flown the coop since I took these photos. But don't worry, I'm sure they will be back next week on 4/15 just in time for Susan's Target Birds on Holiday extravaganza. And then we will find out what they have been up to on their little holiday.
I've used my JC Penney Home Collection clearance plates.
My napkins were a clearance find at WalMart. For my napkin rings I used drapery clip rings & attached a silk gerber daisy flower (from a dollar store) & a piece of blue organza ribbon (the candle holders from Dollar Tree came tied up with this ribbon).
I set up my table on a Saturday & took my photos during the day this time. They turned out so much better. See what happens when I actually plan ahead? I get better results.
I found the blue candle holders at the Dollar Tree. The placemats are from Marshall's on clearance. The silverware is my everyday set by Oneida. The pattern is Michaelangelo. I've again used my Libby goblets from WalMart.
One final look at my table. I just love how this table turned out.
Well I hope you enjoyed my spring tablescape this week. And I hope that each of you have a wonderful Easter (if you celebrate). I will be enjoying mine with my most of my family. Only one of my brothers & his kids won't be attending (they live out of state). But I will get to see my parents, both my sisters and one of my brothers and their families. Family is one the most important things to me, so I will be enjoying getting to spend time with mine. I will even get to see my grandson. Yipee!!
Can't wait until next Wednesday to see what my Target birdies have been up to. I miss them already.

This is beautiful! Wow, I love the colors and how you put it all together. You did a great job. Hey I'm with you with the centerpiece, I think it looks great. My husband has looked at my tablescapes a few times and lifted an eyebrow or said something 'ugly' and I just tell him to go outside until he can be sweet. Big smile! You have a lovely home and blog!
Have a blessed Easter.
