Friday Family Face - Brandon

This week we are spotlighting my son Brandon. Brandon was an only child until Mike & I got together in 1996 when Brandon was 13, then Brandon got to know what it was like to have 2 brothers. They didn't officially become his brothers until we got married in 2006.

Brandon loves computers, listening to police scanners, weather, photography, playing video games. On TV he likes watching Seinfeld, The Simpsons, Storm Chasers, Cops, Amazing Race & Survivor.

When Brandon was a kid he loved insects. He loved to catch & collect them. You could say he was obsessed with them, especially butterflies. We would go to the Butterfly exhibit at the San Diego Wild Animal Park & Brandon would stay in their for hours. He gave more information about the butterflies to visitors than the park workers. He loved it!! Too humid for me. He is not so much into insects as an adult, but still has a small collection from his childhood. He even got 2nd place at the Del Mar Fair for his insect collection in the adult hobby show when he was a kid & won $50.00.

He has also been obsessed with weather since he was a kid. He used to watch the Weather Channel 24/7. He always wanted to be a storm chaser when he grew up (he would still love to be one). He still loves to take photos of lightning & clouds. He was in 7th Heaven when we had a tornado here last year.

He also used to collect old license plates & would make me drive around looking for out of state license plates on cars when he was a kid. He has always loved playing video games as well as computers. He has always loved airplanes & to take photos of them whenever he gets the chance to fly. Whenever we go on vacation, Brandon only takes photos of airplanes, clouds or lightning.

Brandon currently works as the IT person at work solving all computer problems. He is great with computers & quite handy to have around when a computer problem pops up. He is self taught in his computer skills.

His favorite thing to do is listen to police scanners while on the computer. The desk in his room is loaded with about 20 different scanners. I should have taken a photo, but I didn't. He also has his ham radio license. So his ham radio will come in handy someday when the "Big One" hits.

I am proud to call Brandon my son. Here are his answers to the questionnaire:

Wow! This was so fun to read--I remember that little guy. How did you figure out the questions to ask him? Loved all the pictures. He can't possibly be 25--why that would make us...
forget it. :]
